VOIP MESSENGER · VOICE AND MESSAGING

Create a community for your friends.

A community gives your group its own place for messages and voice conversations. Here is how to set up your first one.

Create your community

  1. Log in to VOIP Messenger and choose Create or add a server in the horizontal server bar.
  2. Give your community a name and choose Create server. You become the owner automatically.
  3. Your new community includes a general text channel and a Lounge voice channel. Add more channels with the plus button beside text or voice channels.

Invite people with a link

Choose Invite friends and copy the invitation link. Anyone with this link or code can join, so share it with the people you want in your community.

The invitation page offers Continue in browser and Open in app. After signing in, your friend sees the community name and confirms before joining. The Windows app must be installed for the app option.

You can also choose Join with a code and paste the full invitation link or its code. On a phone, open the navigation button to reach the channel list.

Assign roles and start a conversation

Open a person from the members list to manage their role when your own role permits it. Owners can appoint admins; admins can appoint moderators. The owner cannot be demoted.

Choose a text channel to send messages. Choose a voice channel and allow microphone access to start talking. If someone is already there, your audio connects to the conversation.

In this early-access version, invitation links cannot yet be revoked or rotated from the app. Keep that in mind when sharing a link publicly.
